WE TAKE YOUR PRIVACY AND TRUST SERIOUSLY
As the world becomes more digitized and interconnected, emerging threats, leaks and commercial espionage became more critical. Usage of mobile social messaging has been the main trend today but despite delivering many benefits, it is often susceptible to security risks which is highly undesirable especially in the business world.
“Metalk is a simple and affordable solution to allow individuals and organization to take control of their communication.”
Metalk was developed in Aug 2014 as a secure mobile messaging app. Our service is built by a group of talented professionals for people who take their personal security and privacy seriously, therefore, we log only enough information to provide and maintain our services to users: no more, no less. We provide highly reliable encryption and are constantly innovating to embed useful security features into the app, giving our users the ease of mind when connecting with friends, family, colleagues and business partners alike.
Metalk came a long way since its founding in 2014, and after 1 year of operations, launched a whole range of business functions such as Chat Minute Taking, Business Activity Management, Business Timeline and more in September 2015, completing the value proposition of the application and providing the modern business user with a social and communication tool tailored to their daily needs.
Metalk was awarded the “Most Secure Mobile Application of the Year 2015” and “Best Business Application of the Year 2015” in two separate international EXPOs. Metalk was awarded the “Most Secure Application of the Year 2015 ”at the CAPITAL WEEKLY PROchoice Awards.

In the past year, the new secure instant messaging application Metalk has been making waves in the Asian markets with its creative and highly secure means of safeguarding a person’s mobile correspondence. In October last year, the operators of the application – SecureCom Media Holdings Limited, launched their second product to target companies with a need for information security, and named it “SecureChannel” (www.sec-channel.com).
Since its debut, SecureChannel had seen astronomical growth in its sales revenues, andachieved more than 10 million in its first quarter, gaining the attention of capital markets in US and UK. However, the question remains that despite the ability of the company to woo corporate clients into its base, can the product actually help these companies achieve the ends of internal information security?
SecureChannel works on the basis of giving its users a web-based interface to create various dynamic and highly interactive information posts with feedback functions, then letting users broadcast these messages via Metalk to the end recipient, adding self-destruct timers and anti-printscreen features to safeguard the information sent. In other words, it is like a mass-whisper tool that whispers beautifully edited information.
In a recent press interview with the company’s CEO, Mr. Joe Lam, we were presented with information and feedback from the current clientele of SecureChannel, reputable companies in China, with a need for information and IP protection.
Jiayi Education, one of the China’s top 10 education services provider, utilises SecureChannel to broadcast important educational material to internal employees and teachers, and makes use of the security features to safeguard core intellectual property and educational models. Mitsubishi Elevators uses SecureChannel to transmit technical sheets and proprietary information within its ranks to ensure this information reaches their staff in a timely fashion on everyone’s mobile, but self-destructs over time and does not get duplicated maliciously to external vendors or competitors.
With information seeping into every level of corporate efforts, the ability to safeguard information that awards one the competitive edge in the market may become the key to winning battles in the new internet driven landscape of today. SecureChannel addresses this need by allowing information to be edited nicely, transferred instantaneously and yet retain the security of traditional means of transfer, possibly opening a new paradigm of interest in the industry of information management.

Originating from Hong Kong and currently based operationally in Bangkok, Thailand, SecureCom Media Holdings Limited has been making waves in the social networking sector in Asia with its radical application “Metalk” (www.immetalk.com). Though serving a niche user base of business and corporate professionals, the application has been often sighted amongst the 50 top grossing applications in the Social Networking Category of Apple’s App Stores.
Launched in Early 2015 with simple chat features backed by a 256 bit AES and 1024 bit RSA encryption facility, the Metalk application has over the past year grown to include a whole range of security and privacy protection features such as the popular whisper mode, deceptive view functions, pattern password protection upon launching the application, encrypted cloud backup and so on. Users enjoy limited protection for free, while willing users may pay USD 29.99 for a year’s subscription to the more high-end security features.
On 17th February 2016, Metalk continued zealously on its quest for information privacy and protection, by launching its dual pattern password function. The original single pattern password protects against mobile theft and the possible loss of information by automatically deleting all local data if the wrong pattern password were to be drawn 5 times.
The dual pattern password allows users to select friends from their contact list and categorize them as “Private Friends”. These friends, correspondences with them, events and information posted or shared with them are hidden under the normal view, and only made visible when the second pattern password is drawn, creating a “safe haven” for sharing secrets within the application itself.
In the prospering Asian societies today, rich families often see spouses separated by geographic distance and one spouse or the other keeping a secret lover somewhere else in the world. This function has drawn considerable criticism, especially amongst female net users in Asia, as most claim that they would not allow their husbands or other half to even install the application.
However, positive feedback can also be seen amongst many users, as seen from reviews in App Store, claiming that such a function could help safeguard against pesky colleagues and possible corporate spies who roam the offices in search of a colleague’s phone, and then trying to take a peek at what’s inside.
Sources report that the CEO of licensed operator of the application, SecureCom Media Holdings Limited, Mr. Joe Lam, has shared in the company announcement for the launch of this function, that the company aims to continue to creatively spawn solutions for personal privacy, as the internet and modern day information penetration in our daily lives expose us to various unforeseen risks every day. While Metalk will attempt to build more functions to serve its business user audience, the application’s development team will also continue to spend effort and resources to continually strengthen information security within the application.
Metalk is available for download on iOS and Andriod, and currently serves users basing across the APAC region.
Feb 25, 2016
Over the past several months, one mobile messaging application has been consistently amongst the 50 top–grossing applications in the iOS App Store, beating popular applications such as Twitter, Wechat and Weibo. Named “Metalk” by its developers, Logicquest Technology Limited, operated and marketed by SecureCom Media Holdings Limited, the instant messaging application sports a myriad of security and privacy features.
On February 17, 2016, Metalk launched its dual pattern password function, the icing on the cake for personal chat privacy, and instantly drew the attention of many Asian users. Earlier versions of Metalk were already equipped with a pattern password protection feature, such that when one opens the application from the background, the user is prompted to input a pattern password already previously set, and upon 5 wrong tries, all local data within Metalk will be deleted, protecting the chat history against intrusion from mobile thieves with a malicious agenda.
The dual pattern password feature, available to Metalk’s VIP users who pay USD$29.99 per yearto enjoy a range of special features, allows users to segment their list of contacts into 2 groups – Normal and Private. Inputting the normal pattern password opens the application with only Normal contacts and chats / events posted by them visible to the user. The secondary password opens the chat information and other correspondences related to Private contacts.
The real-Life application of this feature has drawn much controversy. Several Weibo users in China have criticized the feature as one that would allow spouses to hide secrets from each other, or cheat on each other. Other Asian users have commented in the App Store that with such a feature, the application is attempting to build a community of users with a lifestyle of secrecy and lies.
On the other hand, users have also provided positive comments regarding this function. Several users have mentioned that while the normal pattern password protects private information against malicious thieves and intruders, the dual pattern password function protects against spying from people closer to oneself. The colleague sitting next to you could have seen you draw the pattern password ten times a day, and could probably memorize it. Segmenting sensitive information and contacts would help greatly in guarding against people in close proximity who are not part of one’s trust circle.
Regardless of the controversy, we believe this to be a breakthrough in innovating to protect one’s privacy, in a world where nothing is very private anymore. This function, definitely the first of its kind, could bring about a wave of awareness to the need for privacy in a society where information penetrates every corner of our daily lives.

Dual Pattern Password function wins Metalk a reputation for guarding secrets
Feb 18, 2016
In the age of information, the consequence of a data breach is disastrous and has often made headlines.
In recent years, instant messaging has become the new trend of communication. More information is sent and received over major IM applications, such as WeChat, WhatsApp and LINE, than phone calls, SMS and emails. Yet we do not see an increase in awareness of the importance of information security, especially with instant messaging applications.
Making use of its highly secure environment, Metalk provided an extra level of information security. Over the past year, the application has often been sighted amongst the top 50 grossing applications in the social networking category of Apple’s App Store, beating Weibo and Momo. Since the release of the “Dual Pattern Lock” feature in mid-February 2016, Metalk is sometimes regarded as the “Haven for Secrets”.
Every once in a while, we see news regarding corporate confidential data leakage, or government officials or artists’ chat history, photos or videos went viral on the internet.
As a free instant messaging application, Metalk provides excellent information security for the mass. Features like pattern lock, 1024 bit RSA and 256 bit AES encryption enhances remarkably secured mobile communication. VIP features include Deceptive View, Whisper Mode and Chat Backup. And now, the all-new Dual Pattern Lock feature takes Metalk’s security to a whole new level.
With the primary pattern lock enabled, users will have to draw the correct pattern to access to Metalk. But it may not be as safe as it appears against your close friends.
The Dual Pattern Lock segments your list of contacts into 2 groups: Normal and Private. The secondary password opens the chat information and other correspondences related to Private contacts. Inputting the normal pattern password opens the application with only Normal contacts and chats / events posted by them visible to the user.
The real life application of this feature has drawn much controversy. Most male users agree that the Dual Pattern Lock is revolutionary, secure and reliable, and they no longer worry about their spouse checking on their phone. Some female users argue that such function allows spouses to hide secrets or cheat from each other, but some of them suggest they can benefit from this new feature too.
Weibo users mentioned that they can now go home without clearing chat histories, and let their spouse use their phone with an ease of mind.
Users on Apple’s App Store also criticized that the feature allows spouses to hide secrets from each other, or cheat on each other, and attempts to build a community of users with a lifestyle of secrecy and lies.
SecureCom Media Holdings (Metalk’s global licensed operator) announces that, following the development of the Internet, Metalk will include more commercial features, such as Metalk reward program, successful stories sharing and educational material broadcast.
We value every feedback and comment from our users, and hope that Metalk will follow through its initial goal and open a new paradigm of interest in the future.

Nowadays, data breach can cause individuals or corporates a fortune. Modern business user needs a safe and secure mean of communication. Metalk, developed by Logicquest Techonology Limited, is a secure instant messaging application built for the high new worth individual to help them stay connected. Data is stored locally on the phone with 1024 bit RSA and 256 bit AES encryption. A normal home processor will take approximately 1500 years to crack the encryption keys. Pattern lock provides an added level of security to prevent unauthorized access to confidential chats. 5 unsuccessful attempts, and all chat history stored locally in the phone will be destroyed automatically.
SecureCom Media (Metalk’s global licensed operator) custom made a communication security solution for HNWI, a VIP package on top of the free app. Metalk has disproved the conventional belief of traditional internet capital and creates a workable revenue model: Pay for the security and privacy! The USD 29.99 package covers an emerging feature Whisper Mode, the Deceptive View and the passcode-protected Chat Backup feature. The Whisper Mode function allows its subscribers to send messages that are automatically deleted and put off the record for good after they were read, addressing the concern of many business and corporate users, who often had to send messages to people they do not entirely trust, and would very much like much of their discussions to be kept “off-the-record.” The Deceptive View function, probably the first of its kind, toyed with the simple idea of customising the avatars and nicknames of friends, making it nearly impossible for prying eyes to figure out who you were talking to. Since its official launch of the VIP package in April 2015, and have in a short period of 2 months since the launch of its premium paid functions accumulated several thousand paid subscribers.
Metalk VIP Subscription Plan — Pay for the security and privacy
Metalk provides HNWI users a set of effective tools for business communications built on the foundational security that the application provides. These functions include the conduct and record of business meetings, the tracking and scheduling of events and the broadcasting of sensitive business information over the application. The chat minutes function allows you to save portions of any chat record for future reference and circulation. To manage your business activities, you can post upcoming events or view all the events open to you within your social circle. You may also set an event alert with a different time zone to keep track of all your events around the world.
Metalk has achieved a lot over the past year. Metalk was awarded the “Most Secure Mobile Application of the Year 2015” at the PT/Expo in September, and “Best Business Application of the Year 2015” at CIE in October. And is also a top100 grossing application in the social networking category of Apple’s App Store.
2015 is a crucial year for Metalk. It has allowed business individuals to communicate safely and effectively while managing their schedule. On the other hand, Metalk focuses its efforts on one niche group, and became the first IM app to earn the status of profitability with a unique and sustainable revenue model.

Wechat serves the masses, while Metalk caters to the Rich and Powerful
Oct 29, 2015
Nowadays, data theft is universal and can happen almost at anytime and anywhere. Online social network dominated our daily lives that we can no longer tell if we are networking to meet our needs, or just networking for the sake of it. Information generated by users overloads, and it becomes extremely difficult to look for information you need.
WeChat is the most popular mobile social networking and communication tool. HNWIs have less need for functions such as moments and photo sharing; rather, what they need is to have their every message safeguarded. Over the past decade, instant mobile messaging has become the new trend of communication. Today more information is sent over instant messengers than phone calls, SMSes, emails and physical meetings combined. Yet we do not see corporations embracing this technological wave, many corporate leaders feel that such messaging mediums are not safe enough.
This year’s China International Internet and E-commerce Expo has invited some of the representatives of the emerging companies in the Internet industry. Metalk, an application developed by Logicquest Technology Limited, is a dark horse in the instant messaging field. Mr. Kuo, Logicquest’s senior product consultant, shared on stage on “How to build a workable revenue model for an instant messaging app”, and drew the attention of both the organizer and other business leaders. Metalk is awarded “Best Business Application of the Year 2015” in the Expo.
Metalk provides HNWI users a set of effective tools for business communications built on the foundational security that the application provides. These functions include the conduct and record of business meetings, the tracking and scheduling of events and the broadcasting of sensitive business information over the application. To manage your business activities, you can post upcoming events or view all the events open to you within your social circle. You may also set an event alert in a different time zone to keep track of your events worldwide.
Since the emergence of smartphones, various internet companies have tried to make a fortune off mobile social networking but failed. Metalk did not set itself in the same arena as WeChat and other major IM engines. Instead, the company targets only the HNWI markets in the region, as they believe it is these people who require a higher level of security and privacy in their correspondences. Metalk has performed beyond even its own company’s expectations. We hope to see the application bring us more new functions while keeping our messages safe.

Since its first appearance in 1990, PT/Expo had become the best platform for businesses to develop in China and APAC market. The national policy oriented expo examines the industry development firsthand, and serves as the business development platform for APAC in the field. It has been 24 years since PT/EXPO CHINA was first held successfully in 1990, which has become the most influential international ICT event and is regarded as the best stage of showcasing the cutting edge technology. There were more than 10 minister and 65 speaker gave speech at “ICT Leadership Forum”, “TD-LTE Mobile Internet + Development” Summit and the “TOPSHOW Smart Conference”.
Each topic represents a possible outlook of the mobile market, and have redirected the companies in the field. Startups with high potential and innovative products also woo both the committee and the audience.
Broadband China, from 4G innovation to 5G exploration and communications security are some the hottest topics of this year’s expo, half of the exhibitors are promoting along these ideas. Besides giants like China Mobile, Unicom China and Alibaba, Logicquest Technology Limited, a company which emphasises on communications security, had introduced their flagship product, Metalk to the expo. As an instant messaging app that has only been launched for half a year, its remarkable performance has caught the expo committee and audiences’ attention. Metalk won the “Most Secure Application of the Year 2015” at the TOPSHOW Smart Conference.
Metalk is a simple instant messaging application that has basic security features for free users. Features like pattern lock, 1024 bit RSA and 256 bit AES encryption enhances remarkably secured mobile communication. VIP features include the trending feature Whisper Mode and the more controversial feature Deceptive View. The Whisper Mode function allows its subscribers to send messages that are automatically deleted and put off the record for good after they were read, addressing the concern of many business and corporate users. The Deceptive View function, probably the first of its kind, toyed with the simple idea of customizing the avatars and nicknames of friends, making it nearly impossible for prying eyes to figure out who you were talking to.
This year’s expo is truly an inspiration to every IT company, hopefully there will be more Metalk-alike product making an appearance in the future. At the same time, we look forward to Metalk bringing us more practical features and wish it all the best.
24 Jul 2015
On July 15, 2015, Securecom Media, the operator for the mobile application Metalk developed by Logicquest Technology Limited. launched a corporate messaging solution named SecureChannel, a corporate mobile messaging and information dissemination portal built on the foundational framework of Metalk.
Over the past decade instant mobile messaging has become the new trend of communication. Today more information is sent over instant messengers than phonecalls, SMSes, emails and physical meetings combined. Yet we do not see corporations embracing this technological wave, and in Asian communities where corporations are still led by the older generation, many corporate leaders feel that such messaging mediums are not safe enough and often opt for offline methods to disseminate large chunks of information which may be sensitive in nature.
Research has also shown that despite instant messaging being the most effective way of sending small bits of information, emailing continues to be the main backbone of communication for large documents, text and images. But both instant messengers and emails store what we send, thus restricting what we can send over these mediums to only a portion of what we need to communicate.
SecureChannel, a subscription service provided by Securecom Media, the global licensed operator of the Metalk secure instant messenger, takes lead in addressing the problem of corporations by providing a safe way of sending large chunks of information to individual users.
Making use of the fact that Metalk operates in a highly secure environment and it is extremely challenging for hackers to break the encryption of the application, we can assume that information received and stored in the Metalk application is much harder to ambush. With this precursor, Securechannel delivers to corporate clients a way to create report-length publications and send them to a large number of target recipients via the Metalk engine.
A self-destruct command is attached to each piece of information sent, and once it goes out, this information remains only on the recipients mobile for a fixed period of time before it disintegrates into nothing. Of course, the server does not store any of such information either.
Securecom Media’s CEO, Mr. Desmond Chua further revealed that in the coming months added security features will be developed and launched, denying the end recipient any possibility of duplicating the message and sending it to other people outside the business trust circle.
We look forward Securecom bringing us more cool functions for a safer mobile communications landscape.
14 Jul 2015
Following its debut back in January this year, the radical application Metalk, which promotes privacy and communications security, has once again disproven the conventional belief that social networking engines and instant messengers are merely capital blackholes, and have in a short period of 2 months since the launch of its premium paid functions accumulated several thousand paid subscribers.
While Metalk provides basic security features such as pattern passwords and 1024-bit RSA encryptions for the regular free user, a paid version is available to users who want the added privilege of using its VIP features, such as Whisper and Deceptive View, and since the launch of these paid functions in April 2015, the company has clocked thousands of subscribers to these functions, making Metalk the first instant messenger in the world to have a workable revenue model that is subscription based.
As Securecom Media’s CEO mentioned in an earlier interview this year, Metalk has since its launch adopted a niche market strategy in its sales and marketing efforts, focusing its target audience on High Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs) rather than the regular mass consumer. The operators of Metalk believed security’s appeal is the greatest to the wealthiest and most powerful members of society, and this closed and exclusive class of people have less need for functions such as moments and photo sharing; rather, what they need more of is to have their every message to be safeguarded.
The Whisper Mode function allows its subscribers to send messages that are automatically deleted and put off the record for good after they were read, addressing the concern of many business and corporate users, who often had to send messages to people they do not entirely trust, and would very much like much of their discussions to be kept “off-the-record.”
The Deceptive View function, probably the first of its kind, toyed with the simple idea of customizing the avatars and nicknames of friends, making it nearly impossible for prying eyes to figure out who you were talking to. Many reviews had mixed feelings about this function, but it seems to be gaining popularity amongst those who indeed had secrets.
Going down the road, Securecom Media’s CEO expressed that the development plan for Metalk for the third and fourth quarter of 2015 would be focused on building up a whole range of business functions, to provide HNWI users a set of effective tools for business communications built on the foundational security that the Metalk messenger provides. Such functions would include the conduct and record of business meetings, the tracking and scheduling of events and the broadcasting of sensitive business information over the application.
On the whole, both the company and market hold high hopes for the application’s future performance, and note the rather remarkable achievement of revenues in such a short span of time with only a small base of users.
10 Feb 2015
Recently there has been a lot of chatter about the new and rather controversial IM application Metalk. While competitors are having mixed feelings about the feasibility of the application’s value proposition, the users seem to be having a lot of fun using the application for all kinds of personal needs.
Metalk is a radical mobile chat application providing complete security to correspondence logs. Its beta version was first released in Sept. 2014. The app is developed by Logicquest Technology Limited.
The company soon licensed the application’s global operating rights to a Hong Kong based media partner – Securecom Media Limited, leaving the operations of the application and task of profitability in the hands of the partner, while focusing efforts on strengthening the overall security of the solution with future integration of hardware elements.
The application provides users complete secure means of communication within the app, and presents a whole range of functions to respond to various cases of information espionage and theft of hardware — a solution suited for businessmen and corporate professionals.
In a private interview last month, the CEO of Securecom, the company which obtained the global operating license from the developers of Metalk, mentioned the angle of targeting a niche market. This statement is backed by the fact that the company indeed has and is marketing a premium solutions package to business people and corporate executives with a need for security of mobile communications.
With the increasingly diverse information communications environment we now live in, the existence of such an application may actually prove to have a market. Since the days of SNS platforms, we have come a long way, and the disadvantages of overtly publicizing one’s personal life have cost many people a hefty price.
Metalk comes in quietly to propose a back-to-basics solution to solve this problem — a simple instant messaging application that has basic security features for free users and a myriad of extra solutions for the user whose secrets could really be worth more than a penny.
It has been the trend that most IM engines these days have a large user base with little room for the building of a sustainable revenue model. Metalk as a business disregards the need for the large user base, and focuses its marketing and sales efforts on one niche group. The costs of operating the business is therefore greatly decreased, and should this group of users truly subscribe, then perhaps, Metalk will become the first IM app to earn the status of profitability simply through in-app subscriptions.
02 Feb 2015
Less than a month after its official beta launches on iOS and Android Markets, the radical IM application Metalk has achieved a total of more than 1 million downloads in the APAC region, mainly across the Chinese Android market.
Metalk, developed by Logicquest Technology Limited, is a radical mobile chat application providing complete security to correspondence logs. Its beta version was first released in Sep. 2014.
The application provides users complete secure means of communication within the app, and presents a whole range of functions to respond to various cases of information espionage and theft of hardware – a solution suited for businessmen and corporate professionals.
Earlier this month, the CEO of Securecom, the company behind this miracle, mentioned that the application did not set itself in the same arena as WeChat, WhatsApp and other major IM engines. Instead, the company targets only the HNWI markets in the region, as they believe it is these people who require a higher level of security and privacy in their correspondences.
Yet, this original niche application has performed exceptionally well in the first month of its beta. In fact, this unusual phenomenon could be more understood by looking at the reviews column of the application.
One reviewer wrote: “Whisper Mode is not a new function, but the simple on-off swipe for this mode really increases the user-friendliness of this function.”
Several reviews also complained about the application crashing in countries such as Thailand and Vietnam, but on the whole, this seemingly simple yet deceptive application seemed to have successfully caught the curiosity of users.
Be it out of fun or curiosity or a serious need for security, Metalk has performed beyond even its own company’s expectations. We hope to see the application bring us more funky functions, while keeping our messages safe.
27 Jan 2015
On January 15, 2015, Hong Kong based company Securecom Media Limited announced the successful signing of agreements that would lead to its holding a 5-year renewable exclusive operating rights to a piece of software, Metalk, developed by Logicquest Technology Limited.
Affectionately named “Metalk”, the software is a mobile application that operates on both iOS and Android systems, allowing users a completely safe and secure channel for private or group correspondences. Metalk creatively provides local-only storage of all correspondence data. A 256-bit encryption with RSA and AES methodologies further add difficulties to any attempts to hack into the correspondence data going from one end to the other.
The local feature such as a security key to open the app itself can prevent victims of phone theft from losing private correspondence information. Only a few wrong inputs would cause the Metalk data being cleared by the phone, making it almost impossible for thieves to take the slightest peek inside.
Premium functions such as Encrypted Cloud Storage, Deceptive View and Whisper Mode, which can address more intrusive privacy and security issues, are available to VIP users.
The CEO of Securecom Media Limited said in a private interview, “With the impending launch of Metalk, we want to make something clear. We are not here to replace WeChat or WhatsApp or LINE. These are great chat apps that help us all stay more connected. We simply want to address the sore need for privacy and security of the high net-worth individuals market. The business men and celebrities who need their information to be guarded from malicious people or competitors. In the age of information, we do not want to lose our deals or businesses because we carelessly lose a phone or get hacked by competitors.”
